ALICANTE NUMBER ONE DESTINATION IN SPAIN FOR BRITISH BUYERS

New research from Rightmove has shown that Spain is the most popular overseas country for UK buyers.

Data from the property portal highlighted that Spain was the most searched for country throughout 2016, with a total of 4.5 million searches in 12 months. In terms of a regional breakdown, Alicante proved to be the most popular city for British buyers to search for, with Malaga a close second after securing the top spot in 2015.

Rightmove claimed that Alicante, Costa Blanca was certainly the most sought-after destination for brits looking for either a second home in Spain or to relocate completely. The news follows on from both the Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol seeing real positivity across the property market in recent months, and performing particularly well in terms of house prices and buyer demand across the regions.
